Sharpshooting Skills: ZywOo’s Career
ZywOo is one of the greatest CSGO stars who shined bright at a very young age. The Team Vitality marksman is known for his high level of play.
Sharpshooting Skills: ZywOo’s Career
Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut is one of the best CSGO stars to have ever played the game. Since his big break back in late 2018, the French star has found himself at the top of the Valve shooter game. He continues to prove his worth as a lead star and is looking to win more games as well.
As one of the lead stars for Team Vitality, ZywOo proved his worth as a strong leader while playing along with the likes of Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire in a quest to win more titles for the squad.
Known for his sharp and keen eye in using the AWP, ZywOo rose to stardom and showed why he deserves a much bigger spotlight in his games. Since then, the marksman has led the way for Vitality when he joined the team back in 2018.
The 20-year-old star has been present in many games for Vitality. His phantom kills using the sweet sniper rifle earned him a reputation for being a reliable shooter with no regard for his opponents. This just shows how he is able to keep up with the current play in CSGO since starting out his career in 2014.
Early History
ZywOo found his way into the Counter-Strike scene at the age of two as he watched his brother and cousins play the Valve shooter game. While his mother did not approve at first, he later earned her support and even took him to local tourneys even before he reached the age of 10.
At 16 years of age, ZywOo then got so many offers of full-time games. His mother then kept refusing many of those as she wanted a professional future outside of games. Still, ZywOo went on to play for a few teams such as Nevermind, E-Corp Bumpers, WySix, and then Team aAa.
After earning his high school diploma, ZywOo then signed a big deal with Team Vitality. After just a few months with the squad, he led his team to win in the DreamHack Atlanta 2018. The young star was commended for his efforts in the win against Luminosity most notably when he made an ace while playing in an eco round.
ZywOo then earned his first Major at the Katowice 2019, where Team Vitality finished at the top nine out of 11 teams who played in the tourney. That was followed by a much higher result at the StarLadder Major: Berlin 2019 with a finish at the top five to eight.
Team Vitality went on to win in the ECS Season 7 Finals and EPICENTER while finishing second at the ESL Cologne and DreamHack Masters Malmö. In that stretch, ZywOo fielded great stats. He finished five times as the tournament MVP and even posted a rating of 1.30 in LAN games.
2019 marked a big year for ZywOo as he was named the best player by HLTV.org. He is the first Frenchman and youngest player to ever make that feat since its creation back in 2010.
ZywOo’s Game Settings
ZywOo earned so many fans all over the world thanks to his sniping prowess. This is the main reason why there are many players who look to copy his setup with the hopes of getting good at aiming just like him.
The star uses a VAXEE ZYGEN NP-01G for his mouse. This has a setting of 400 DPI, 2.00 Sensitivity and eDPI of 800. ZywOo’s monitor is somehow a unique one. He uses a BenQ XL2546 which has a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a 1280x960 resolution along with a stretched scaling.
The Team Vitality star also uses a CORSAIR K100 RGB keyboard and a CORSAIR VOID RGB ELITE USB headphones for surround sound.
ZywOo’s crosshair setting is adjusted to his own feel with the AWP. He uses a style 4 crosshair that has a -3 gap and no dots nor outlines.
His settings are known to be designed for a marksman in CSGO. ZywOo is an expert when it comes to landing key shots whether he uses some free CSGO skins for his AWP or not. He has a strong appetite for winning games and it made him an icon for Team Vitality.
Recent Games
While Team Vitality has promised to come up with a bigger pace in 2021, they dropped their recent run at the IEM Katowice 2021. ZywOo and the rest of the squad fell to a 9-12th place finish. However, the star did show a high level of play which has been carried from their pace in 2020.
ZywOo tallied an average of 49 kills and 43 deaths. His last match saw him drop 42 kills, 38 deaths and seven assists. This makes him a medium performer for the squad, and that is why he is still a relevant star.
Looking back on his perspective when it comes to CSGO Majors, ZywOo is a very detailed person. He has been aiming to leave his mark in the coming tourneys as he said back in their run at the BLAST Premier Fall series.
‘The atmosphere at a Major can only be different from any other LAN: not the same stakes, not the same scale either’, ZywOo said.
‘A Major is everything; when you first come into CS, the first thing you hear about is the Major. It's the tournament that you have to win’.
ZywOo’s dedication to the game and for his team is one of the most lovable facts about him. While fans are looking for free CSGO skins to use in their own plays, most of the fans are also eager to look at the way that the French star is working with his games.
So far, ZywOo is a great star to follow, and his success at a young age makes him a favourable player to watch in his coming games. He might just earn a chance to make history and win in a CSGO Major once more.
