The PNC tournament will be a battle royale consisting of all teams. There will be 6 matches played each day from 15th to 17th September, culminating in a total of 18 rounds for the whole event. That means there will be 64 players fighting in a single arena in a fight for survival of the fittest.

Teams rank against each other by a point system favouring kill count over any other stats. Placement by longest survivability as a group is the second factor adding to their total points earned per round. A quick rundown of how much each team earns is as follows:

• Every kill awards 1 point
• 1st placer (last team standing) wins 10 points
• 2nd placer wins 6 points
• 3rd placer wins 5 points
• 4th placer wins 4 points
• 5th placer wins 3 points
• 6th placer wins 2 points
• 7th-8th each get 1 point
• 9-16 placers win 0
   

Teams are ranked by the number of points they’ve earned throughout the tournament. In case of a tie at the 18th round, the tied teams are ranked based on the June 2022 tiebreaker order:

• Tied teams compare placement points across all matches. Kill counts won’t be included, meaning that they are scored by how well they survived in every match. 
• If the points are still tied, teams are compared by match points of the last round. This is the combination of kill + placement points from the last match only. 
• If teams are still tied, then they are once again compared by their placement ranking from the last match. To clarify, this does not refer to placement points, meaning that teams are compared by who was the last to be eliminated in the previous round. 
• If teams are still tied for the same rank placement, then organisers compare teams by who dealt the highest damage numbers in the previous round. This niche rule rewards players’ consistent engagements which is often considered a risky strategy. 

Once the final rankings are declared, teams are awarded their cut of the prize pool. The champion wins $100,000 then it’s $40,000, $25,000, and $22,000 down to the 4th place. All teams get a cut with the lowest payout being $5,000 for the 16th placer.
