All-Around Dominance: Astralis Astralis is clearly one of the best teams in CSGO.Undoubtedly, they have been really impressive over the years that they have joined the fray and began to impress a lot of fans. The team is still making its presence felt in the past few tournaments they played. Astralis is a Danish esports team that is best known for their CSGO team, but they also have teams for other big games such as FIFA and League of Legends. Since entering the competitive CSGO scene, Astralis has risen to prominence in over three years of active gaming. The team is considered to have one of the finest rosters and is a contender for the top spot in the team rankings. Perhaps looking at Astralis’ resume is not that bad after all. The team has finished first in four Majors, most notably in their impressive run back at the StarLadder Major in Berlin back in 2019. The team has finished well in some LAN tournaments as well, and it is clear that the team has proven to be one of the most powerful teams in CSGO right now. Get your luck going and play Crash One can say that Astralis has really stepped up their game back in 2019 and really proved that they can go up against the big teams in the CSGO season such as Natus Vincere, Team Vitality, Heroic, BIG and so on. It seems that they are headed for a bigger year in 2021 and they can actually come up even better soon enough. Early History Astralis was formed by the former players of the Danish Team SoloMid roster after they left their team and were known as Questionmark for a short period of time. The original roster has proven to be very impressive with the likes of Rene ‘cajunb’ Borg, Nicolai ‘dev1ce’ Reedtz, Peter ‘Dupreeh’ Rasmussen and Finn ‘Karrigan’ Andersen. They even had Andreas ‘Xyp9x’ Hojsleth and Danny ‘zonic’ Sorensen as a coach. Their first event was the DreamHack Open in Leipzig back in 2016, and they topped their group by beating teams such as Dignitas and mousesports. However, they made an early exit in the semis when they lost two straight games against Luminosity Gaming. The team went on to come up with big runs over the years before eventually turning out to be one of the top contenders. Astralis has stepped up and clearly proved that they deserve to be in the top rankings, and that means a lot for their future too. Astralis had some tough stretches and it meant that they needed to make some adjustments. They had a lot of battles against the big teams of the game, and yet they continued to keep up their pace. Those changes led to some player changes and now the team boasts a much stronger roster now. 2017 marked the first time that the team won a Major. Astralis went on to defeat Na’Vi and Fnatic, and they clearly managed to come up with a berth on the final, where they faced Virtus.pro. Astralis won two of the three maps played, clutching 16 points twice in the last two maps after losing in the first. The team took home $500,000 in total winnings, and it was the big moment that the team has long waited for. Since then, Astralis’ rise to the top has proven to be a dream come true. Test your luck and play Roulette The Captain Astralis started this year with Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif as the captain. The Danish rifler has proven to be a strong leader in the team and has led them to win when it matters the most. He has been using fine mouse settings in his game and it has helped them get better. Magisk’s mouse is a ZOWIE EC2 that has a DPI of 800 with a polling rate of 1000 Hertz. For a rifler to work well, it seems that the Captain really has a fine clicking that helped him become a fine shooter that later built his reputation as a leader and a great winner. The rifler has played for many teams such as Team Dignitas, North, and OpTic Gaming before he eventually went on to join Astralis in 2018. He later went on to hand the captaincy to Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander and has seen a lot of action that led to some fine runs since then. Magisk has served as a fine member of the squad and still proved that his presence in the squad means a lot of success for the team. Current Roster 2020 proved to be a fine year for the team despite being hampered by the pandemic. The team went on to field the likes of dev1ce, Magisk, Dupreeh, and gla1ve. They claimed six straight wins in the ESL Pro League Season 12. The team then lost to their Danish rivals Heroic and competed on a lower bracket run. While it seems that Astralis is falling behind the top spot for the CSGO World Ranking, all they need is a fine push that could see them chase Team Vitality. The latter team is on the lead with 1000 points, and it seems that Astralis might just finish the year with a finish at the top two. It only means that they will really need to step it up better next year, and winning Majors would be the best way to get that done. After all, they are still an elite team, and if they can keep the same pace and do it a little better, then they might just succeed too. Maybe they benefited the free CSGO skins that many sites had to offer and eventually put up an identity with their red and black colorways. It seems that the team has a lot of work to do, and it only means that the future is still bright for them. For more info about CSGO, visit Gamdom.com Words: Paul Daniel Flores
