What is the ESL Impact League?
Before learning how to bet on ESL Impact League, it is important to familiarise yourself with what the tournament is.
As mentioned above, the ESL Impact is a part of the EFG #GGFORALL program. The goal is to promote inclusivity within the gaming space by creating a dedicated ecosystem for women. This has allowed an underrepresented demographic in esports to enjoy the limelight and play competitively.
As of writing, there have been four seasons, with the ESL Impact season 5 currently running. Through these seasons, many teams have shown their prowess shutting the ‘women can’t game’ stereotype down.
Some of the teams that have become top competitors in the ESL Impact League include the NAVI Javelins, Team Pigeon, and FURIA. These teams built their fanbase solely through their gameplay and passion.

What happened in Season 5 so far?
The ESL Impact Season 5 has been running since March 6, 2024. It started with Open Qualifiers in February where 28 teams from different regions competed for one of the eight spots in the DreamHack Dallas Finals.
For North America, Europe, and South America, teams qualified after competing in a group stage format. Asia, on the other hand, played in a Wildcard Online qualifier to see who deserves a spot at the event.
The teams that qualified for the event are:
- Team Pigeons (European Division): The Pigeons topped their group in the regular season and comfortably secured their spot in the finals with five consecutive series victories.
- NAVI Javelins (European Division): The NAVI Javelins finished first in their division, thanks to a head-to-head win over the Fearless Cheetahs. They were the runners-up in the grand finals of ESL Impact League Season 4.
- Let Her Cook (European Division): They beat GUILD fe in a closely contested series to secure their spot in the finals.
- BIG EQUIPA (European Division): BIG EQUIPA beat the Fearless Cheetahs to grab the final spot in the finals.
- FlyQuest RED (North American Division): This team topped the North American section of the league, only dropping maps to Shimmer in a 2-1 series win.
- Shimmer (North American Division): Shimmer finished second in the North American section and secured their place in the finals.
- Fluxo Demons (South American Division): Known for their top-four finish in the Season 4 finals, Fluxo Demons only dropped two maps and maintained a 7-0 series record.
- HSG (Wildcard Qualifier): They secured their spot in the Asia-Pacific open qualifier back in March 2024 and will complete the team list for the finals.
From May 31 to June 2, these teams will compete in the DreamHack Dallas Finals. Each will have a chance to win the prestigious title of champions and a share of the impressive $150,000 prize pool.
DreamHack Dallas Finals tournament format
DreamHack is a gaming festival by EFG that has been an integral part of the ESL Impact League since its inception. It hosted both the first and third finals of the tournament and is back for season 5. This year, they promise to bring the excitement of the tournament to fans across the globe.
The DreamHack Dallas Finals for season 5 will start with a group stage following a two-double-elimination format. Each group will have four teams. Both the opening and winners’ matches are Bo1, while the elimination decider matches are Bo3
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs stage. It follows a single-elimination bracket and all matches are Bo3.
ESL Impact League predictions
The ESL Impact League DreamHack finals will see intense and complex matchups between the eight teams. Although all squads have a solid chance to win 1st place, Team Pigeon is likely to dominate the finals.
This is considering their current form and overall performance throughout the seasons not losing any of them since 2022. However, if there was a team that could put a stop to their win streak this year, it would be the NAVI Javelins. Despite their devastating runner-up placement in Season 4, they have a better chance this year considering their overall form throughout Season 5.
