The favourites to win VCT Masters Tokyo

With only eight teams left after the group stage, some teams can be branded as favourites heading into the knockout stage. You can expect these teams to thrive and win the entire tournament:

• Fnatic: For almost the entire EMEA League, Fnatic went unbeaten. They only dropped four games total during the league and three of those came in the Grand Final against Team Liquid. With an innovative in-game leader Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlett, this team can utilise their elite skillset to dominate VCT Tokyo and win.
  • Watch out for Nikita ‘Derke’ Sirmitev because his aggression on agents such as Jett and Raze will be key to how Fnatic pulls off their strategies as the rest of the team follows up.
• Team Liquid: Fnatic dominated most of the EMEA League but Liquid ended up as the victors of their region. They have a superb lineup led by Igor ‘Redgar’ Vlasov serving as the in-game leader. This team is tough to beat because they have virtually no weaknesses in both tactics and skill sets.
  • Elias ‘Jammpi’ Olkkonen is the team’s top fragger and if he continues to make plays on his Jett, Chamber, or even Killjoy, this team can reach their peak performance. They rely on him to frag and the rest of the team follows up using their abilities and smart movements.
• LOUD: The reigning VCT Champions winners, LOUD dominated the Americas League by going 8-1 in the regular season and only losing one more game in the Playoffs. This team still has three members from the Champions-winning squad which means the experience will also be a key factor for their favourite status.
  • Erick ‘aspas’ Santos is especially useful when he’s on his A-Game. He can outfrag almost anyone on the server because his aim is sharp and precise. Whenever he’s feeling it, the energy will reverberate across the whole team and they feel more confident in making brave plays.

• Match winner: This is where you predict the winner of the entire match.
• Total maps: You are given two choices and a specific number, predict if the total maps that will happen are either over or under that number.
• Correct score: You will predict what the final score of the series will be (i.e. 2-0 or 1-2)
• Total, Map 1: This is like the total maps market but this deals with the number of rounds played on a specific map. Predict if the number of rounds is over or under the given number.
• Maps handicap: You will see favourites starting the match on -1.5 map wins and they need to win the match 2-0 to win the market. Underdogs will have an easier time here because they just have to win one map to mess up the odds.
