What is Rocket League?

Before getting into joining Rocket League tournaments for money, it’s important to know first what the game is all about. Rocket League is a popular video game that was released in July 2015 by Psyonix. What makes it unique is that it is a mix of soccer and racing cars. In Rocket League, two teams with three players each face off in a futuristic stadium.

Each team needs to make as many goals as possible within five-minute matches. One of the reasons why Rocket League is considered one of the top esports games is that it is a free-to-play video game that is extremely competitive and easy to learn.

On top of that, the game is like no other soccer video game as it exhibits soccer-like gameplay but with cars. Rocket League's main highlights include racing cars and various gameplay modes that you can both play and bet on.

How do Rocket League tournaments work?

The Rocket League money tournaments pit you and your team against others of similar skill for the chance to win prizes. When you win a match in a competitive tournament, you'll receive tournament credits as a reward. When you finish in the top three spots each week, you can earn extra tournament credits. The counter resets every Sunday.

Regardless of whether you win, lose, or draw your first three matches, those results will be factored into your Top 3 Weekly Placements. Only if you win at least one of the matches will you receive the rewards. Once you finish three tournaments, you will be eligible for additional weekly placement rewards. The more tournaments you join and games you play, the more you will be rewarded.

How to play Rocket league tournaments

The Rocket League Competitive Tournaments mode can be found in the Ranked playlist, and it matches your team against others of similar skill for the purpose of winning prizes. Each week, players are free to participate in any and all tournaments that are open to them. You can also try Rocket League betting on Gamdom.

Depending on the level of competition, tournaments may feature 16 to 64 teams in a round-robin or a single elimination format. Up to the semifinals and finals, each team only plays one match. Teams that are eliminated in the first round will be placed in a ‘Second Chance’ bracket.

Tournaments can have 2v2 and 3v3 formats. In groups of varying ability levels, the most experienced player serves as the foundation of the team. You can also enter a Diamond Tournament as a team of three with two Platinum II players and one Diamond I player.

How long do matches last?

For tournaments to run smoothly, it is essential that all games be completed within a certain time limit. A match's overall time cannot exceed 11 minutes. This incorporates delays caused by kickoffs and replay reviews. If both teams have equal chances, the team with more goals wins. The winner will be determined by tossing a coin if the total number of goals is tied.

Who can join?

Everyone is welcome to sign up. You can sign up as a solo player, a partial team, or a full team. Those who have signed up for the tournament will be informed when it is time to begin.

What do you get out of joining?

New in-game money called Tournament Credits is awarded to everyone who advances through the first round of a tournament. More Tournament Credits will be awarded to those who do better and go further in a bracket. Larger amounts of Tournament Credit are awarded for higher-ranked competitions.

Silver Ranked players, for instance, may be drawn into a Gold Rank Tournament where they will face tougher opposition but higher payouts in Tournament Credits. All three teammates receive the same amount of Tournament Credits as a prize.

Tournament Credits are awarded for winning any tournament, but the majority of your earnings will come from your Top 3 Weekly Placements, which are refreshed every Sunday. Meanwhile, the weekly bonus is based on the previous week's performance.

Cups which can be purchased with Tournament Credits will award you with a new cosmetic item, such as wheels, animated decals, or even goal explosions, to use in your game. As your tournament's rank rises, you'll unlock ever more challenging Cups.

As the Cup's level increases, the chances of gaining a rarer item increase. Items in a tournament can have any number of unique qualities, such as Painted or Certified. You can also exchange common things for rarer ones used in the tournament by doing so.

The winner of the tournament will also be awarded a title reflecting the prestige of the competition they have conquered. A coloured title at a certain rank can also be earned by winning three tournaments of the same rank within a single season.

Joining limit and tournament withdrawal

Every week, players can participate in as many tournaments as they want. This means you are free to enter as many tournaments as you like. Meanwhile, early withdrawals from a Tournament are damaging to a team's chances of success. This is why penalties were posted to discourage such behaviour.

If you leave during a match, you will be banned from playing for 15 minutes and from the tournament for 3 hours. You are also not allowed to join tournaments for 24 hours, then 7 days and in extreme circumstances, especially if you habitually withdraw from a match.
