LCK Summer 2023 betting tips for newbies
Gamdom offers a lot of features on the sports book but if you want to optimise your gambling sessions then it’s best that you play with insight. Here are three tips you should consider to make the most fun esports betting experience:
- Weight the odds from the payout
Every outcome in a market is associated with a number called ‘odds’. This is the indicator of a choice’s chance of winning and payout compared to the rest of the options. For most sportsbooks like Gamdom, these numbers rise the less popular it gets, so winnings from the underdog are higher. Find the balance between them in a match with no clear victor. - Bet against the favourites in a match with a big gap
How odds work is a fundamental part of esports betting. There will be times when one option is too popular to be profitable in a wager so take the risk in the underdog for a chance of a big payout. This kind of bet is essentially an uphill battle so you already have low expectations. If you lose, then it’s as expected but it’s a pleasant surprise if you win. - Research the state of the match
Betting blind is fun and it’s usually what happens when you bet on matches between teams you don’t know. The best way to minimise reliance on luck in esports betting is to do your research. Learn what you can about the teams like who their best player is and if they are present. For a quick review, look for the history of head-to-head between the two competing teams.
