Twistzz finalizes his move to powerhouse squad FaZe Clan

Former Team Liquid star Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken ended his four-year stint with his former squad. He has now joined European powerhouse FaZe Clan which is a team that is in need of another member of the starting lineup as Olof ‘olofmeister’ Gustafsson is only a stand-in.

Twistzz is the biggest name in the free agent class ever since he left Liquid. He is a talented player who can be considered a centrepiece of any CSGO squad in the scene. He was the secondary star of the Liquid squad just behind Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski.

It was a shame that he left Liquid as they were the best CSGO team in 2019. They were a proper representative of the North American region which is not known for their presence in the game apart from Liquid and Cloud9.

FaZe will be a big squad for Twistzz to join as they still have world-class players there. Marcelo ‘coldzera’ David is probably the biggest name in the lineup alongside Markus ‘Kjaerbye’ Kjærbye due to their success in Majors in the past.

FaZe is an under-the-radar team that can make waves especially if they can find their form as a top squad. While most of the team’s players are calm and composed, Twistzz will bring a sense of urgency to the squad. He is an aggressive player which is a style that he has made his signature on the CSGO servers.

He was a vital member of the 2019 Liquid squad that secured an Intel Grand Slam. They did not win a Major but they were considered the best CSGO team on the planet due to their consistency in Intel events.

However, 2020 was a bad year for Liquid as Twistzz felt his career slow down to a halt. He was always among the top players in the world but he fell off last year which hurt him and his drive to compete. He decided to leave Liquid to try and pursue a CSGO career in Europe which is one of the main reasons why FaZe was so interested in him.
