Handling Gear: CSGO Equipment

CSGO equipment has proven to be one of the impressive changes that the game has seen over the years since its launch in 2012.

Handling Gear: CSGO Equipment

CSGO has seen a lot of changes since Counter-Strike was released in 1998. The game has grown so much and there are so many new features for one to keep track of. The game did well in bringing new equipment into the market and that means big for players.

CSGO proved itself as the world's most famous shooter game. It has drawn a lot of players all over the world and the gaming community has grown larger than ever. While there are new weapons to look at, the new added equipment has proven to be the best that the game has to offer.

Sure, there is no shooter without weapons, but the vital tools such as knives, gloves and grenades prove to be the next level that CSGO has given to their fans. The game has grown so much, and one can be really happy about the progress in the gaming community.

Along with the launch of skins and stickers, the new tools proved that CSGO actually has what it takes to go up against the likes of Dota 2, StarCraft, League of Legends and more Esports games at a larger scale.

CSGO has endured a lot of competitions since its launch in 2012. The likes of Call of Duty, Fortnite and many more games have all failed to dethrone CSGO as the king of online FPS games.

With all these bright changes, CSGO continued to thrive well and that says a lot about the game’s legacy. No one can say that the game will go down so quickly. These equipment prove that the game will last longer than a usual game should.

CSGO Gloves

Gloves are a big part of clothing that was added in the November 2016 update. This allowed players to change the gloves that their characters wear. These are visible in third person and also have skins available just like weapon skins.

These gloves have no big effect in the overall stats of a player’s damage, health, armour, speed and so on. However, they do put a human element in the game and that’s what makes CSGO so immersive.

There are eight types of gloves in CSGO. These are all considered as ‘exceedingly rare items’ and have a star in their name. That means you can actually consider yourself lucky if you get skins for gloves.

Some of the most used gloves include the handwraps, which features a cloth wrapped around the hands. These are usually preferred by hand to hand fighters as these wraps stabilise the wrist when using knives and each cloth differs from the skin used. Moto gloves are bulky and covers all fingers as well. Specialist gloves look like the common issue gloves that most soldiers have.

Sport gloves are made from fabric and similar to the ones used by athletes. Driver gloves, on the other hand, are the ones that remove stress from the hands and are based on the ones used by delivery drivers.

All of these gloves have 12 skins available from the Broken Fang, Clutch and Hydra cases as well. However, there are also gloves that came from Operation Broken Fang, Operation Hydra and Operation Bloodhound. These are also special gloves that are limited only in the initial release of the three ops.

CSGO Knives

CSGO also has added knives into the fold and that really gained a lot of praise from fans and players alike. It can be used by all players as a default part of their equipment and that cannot be dropped as well.

The quiet blade is always there to be used, and it has a fast yet low damage on the primary attacks, while the secondary attack has a high damage rate. A backstab can easily deliver an instant kill, and that’s why it is still relevant up to date.

The knife has a short attack range, and it only makes a little sound when used. Damage from the knife depends on where a player is hit. A blow to the head and backstabs will lead to an instant kill, while any other hit can deal much damage at a certain point.

In all games, players can run at the default speed when the knife is at hand. In CSGO, all speed stats on weapons such as the Schmidt Scout were cut out, leaving the knife with the top running speed in the game.

Also, using a knife to take out enemies offer the most amount of money as a reward. Knife kills are given out at $1500 in competitive mode and $750 for casual mode. In deathmatch, taking out the enemy with a knife offers 20 points and a bonus of 10, which is also the highest in that match type.

There are a total of 19 knife types in CSGO. These are known as cosmetic knives and serve as other options for the base knife that was first added in the Arms Deal update. These knives share the same stats as the base knife and only differ in design.

  • Bayonet
  • Butterfly Knife
  • Classic Knife
  • Falchion Knife
  • Flip Knife
  • Gut Knife
  • Huntsman Knife
  • Karambit
  • M9 Bayonet
  • Shadow Daggers
  • Bowie Knife
  • Ursus Knife
  • Navaja Knife
  • Stiletto Knife
  • Talon Knife
  • Nomad Knife
  • Skeleton Knife
  • Survival Knife
  • Paracord Knife

In addition, the Gold Knife in the Arms Race mode and the Spectral Shiv are just spin offs for the base knife and Flip Knife. There are also a lot of skins available for each knife, and that is the main reason why there are many players who look to get free CSGO skins.

CSGO equipment has changed the trends, and that says a lot about the way the game can be played. While it continues to meet the demands of fans and players, there are a lot of changes that Valve gives out to the CSGO community.
