ApEX Claims that CIS Is CSGO’s Best Region
The rise of CIS teams in CSGO went unnoticed but Team Vitality’s apEX claims that they are already the best region in the game’s esports community.
ApEX Claims that CIS Is CSGO’s Best Region
Team Vitality’s Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire plays for one of the best CSGO teams in the world. The CS veteran claims that the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is the best region for the Valve shooter. He says that there are many teams there who are playing better than ever.
As he has played CS since 2009, apEX is certain that he has seen a lot of CSGO regions rise and fall. That includes the teams hailing from North America, Europe and even Asia. One thing that he has noted is that the CIS continued to grow even better.
While CIS teams weren’t that popular back in the day, they became known the same way that free CSGO skins changed the scene for FPS games.
Over the years, they kept on improving. Teams from the CIS reached one final after another, and they were surprise finalists in some key Majors. Perhaps the success of Gambit Esports in the recent IEM Katowice 2021 was the biggest feat by a team from the CIS.
Many fans were shocked to see Gambit win, and apEX knows that one for certain. He claims that times change and teams can be very unpredictable at some point.
‘We are in a moment where the best teams are really young or that just made a change’, apEX said. ‘These young teams have been keeping legacy orgs on their toes, and it’s been the “CIS-style” that’s been gradually netting great results’.
The huge shift in the CSGO scene only proves that Europe and North America are no longer the kings of the FPS game. It is about time that another region took the lead and owned the spotlight for CSGO.
That’s apEX’s idea of Gambit. It worked the same way as the free CSGO skins lured many new players, and Gambit was also surprising for many fans.
‘Gambit, they are the team that surprised me the most’, said apEX. ‘I mean we’ve been playing with them in practice a bit before their rising up and to be honest they played really solid Counter-Strike’.
With more CSGO teams rising from the CIS region, apEX knows what to expect in their coming games as they work on their own way to win.
